Well, our little window A/C has been slowly dying and finally gave its last gasps. We have been unable to get the house cooler than 88 degrees for two weeks. Yesterday, I ordered a new, 15,000 BTU model (vs. our old 6,000 one) from Home Depot. Our neighbor, Brian, picked it up and  installed it. Well, the old old had been causing condensation and the honey bees had been swarming around it for a drink. Despite the fact I had shoved it out the window and carted it away from the house, the persistent bees were still flying around the window when he arrived.

Now, because of my sun sensitivity and chemical sensitivities, I was fully covered and wearing my respirator while helping Brian. He was in a t shirt, trying not to get stung as he hefted the 108 pound A/C into the window.  I had locked all the dogs, except Carson, into the small yard behind the house. Carson, still in the house,  went BALLISTIC  when he saw Brian pushing the A/C into the window. He screamed for the entire half hour we were installing it.

So, for all you who have expressed concern at me living alone out here, I say, “don’t you worry!”. I am armed, have 7 watchdogs, good neighbors and a dog who would eat an intruder alive.

P.S. Today, all the dogs are lounging in the nice, cool living room and I am feeling much more functional.

Hello, sounds like you got plenty of good company. You have got some beautiful babies and I’m so glad that you could save them. I have a Dale Earnheart bak pack cooler that you could have for ebay, but I don’t know how to get it to you. Because of the size it would have to be shipped by freight and I can’t do that. But if you know of someone that is coming through Great falls, Montana and heading your way I would sure be glad to let them bring it to you. It is brand new. Let me know. I wish I could do more, you have a wonderful home there.Have a good week end : )

Thanks, Brenda! That is really generous of you! We have an eBay charity site where anyone can auction something off for us. You could keep part of the $ to use for shipping and ship directly to the buyer. I will add the link. Have a great weekend! Love, Cathy
I think you go from there. I am new at all this. Let me know if you want to list it or if you need help. Thank you so much!
