In Memory
In 2002, shortly after moving to the ranch, my 13 year old basenji, Rafiki, became lost. I searched for weeks on foot, by car and on horse back. He had ID tags and was tattooed. I offered a large reward and advertised. No trace of Rafiki was ever found. In my grief, I vowed to dedicate the rest of my life to rescuing animals in need. Anything I do, is in his memory.

This page is in honor of some of the many animals who called the sanctuary home. Some had to go to new homes in 2014 due to my escalating dog allergies and some are waiting at the Rainbow Bridge now, after living out their lives here.
Wetarez (1973-2004) was my companion of 24 years. Together, we traveled thousands of trail miles.
