JERAS is home to two mustang mares formerly abused in the “sport” of horse-tripping- nothing but blatant cruelty and abuse. Please take action:

SB 364 (the horse tripping bill) is in big trouble.
Things did NOT go well for the horse tripping bill SB 362, earlier this evening. Senator Manendo said he will hold the vote for another day (til Friday) to get everyone on board.  It seems now that only Senators Manendo and Parks are supporting the bill, while Senators Lee, Roberson and Rhoads are opposed (for all the wrong reasons).

SUGGESTION:  Get on the phone first thing tomorrow morning (Thursday), call all your friends, and bombard the offices of Lee, Roberson and Rhoads.  Their numbers are below.

Senator John Lee – 775/684-1424 (work)
702/258-5447 (home)

Senator Michael Roberson – 775/684-1481 (work)
702/612-6929 (home)

Senator Dean Rhoads – 775/684-1447 (work)
775/756-6582 (home)

Senator Mark Manendo – 775/684-6503 (work)
702/451-8654 (home)

Senator David Parks – 775/684-6504 (work)
702/736-6929 (home)

CALL THEM AT WORK AND HOME, TOO.  They are saying there are no Charro events in NV (we know otherwise- there’s one April 30/May 1st in Winnemucca) and they’re nervous over the ‘slippery slope’ (since when did legislators not vote for an issue because they were fearful of what MIGHT happen.)

IF YOU HAVE GOOD RELATIONS WITH SENATORS MANENDO & PARKS, CALL THEM AS WELL, AND ASK THEM TO HELP CONVINCE THE THREE HOLD-OUTS TO CHANGE THEIR MINDS.

CALL YOUR LOCAL NEWSPAPER REPORTERS AND TV STATIONS AND ASK THEM TO COVER THIS ISSUE.

PLEASE HELP!  And forward this alert to other interested parties, please.
